Today I watched a tutorial that covered a technique called “Light Painting”. Basically you use a light to illuminate an object in the foreground while taking a long exposure of the night time sky. I did this tonight using a flashlight like a paint brush on this tree in my backyard with Jupiter in the background.
I found the combination of the Sun along with the striking shadows of these trees too compelling to pass up.
Going through some older photos I have never posted before and discovered this early morning capture over Hinkle Creek in Folsom, CA.
