Winter Vetch (Vicia villosa) produce lots of nectar for the bees and other insects that visit these flowers.

White Hyacinth
These White Hyacinth (Triteleia hyacinthine) are usually pollinated by beetles. If you look closely, you can see a beetle in one of the flowers doing its job.

A couple of Metalic Green Fig beetles I came across last weekend at a family reunion in Arcadia, CA. Scientific name is Continus texana. There were about a hundred of these beetles scattered around a giant oak tree.

A few days before getting sick, I had taken a set of photos down at the creek near my home but only had a chance to post one before everything came to a halt.
