Infrared View of the American River

I went to the lookout point on Hazel Ave near Highway 50 and snapped this Infrared picture looking towards Folsom. You can see the American River in the forefront. I love how the vegetation takes on a whole other worldly feel.

An Infrared Day

It’s that time of year again for Infrared photography. I need the bright sun to capture these types of photos to offset the very dark Infrared lens filter. I normally would wash out the red color but in this case it seemed to add an eeriness I couldn’t resist.
