Peaceful Graham
An interesting headstone that caught my attention. Trying to give it a feel from yesteryear.
Thompson Mausoleum
Lost in Eternity
Angelic
My wife and I were driving through Rescue, California on a mission for me to take a fresh batch of photos. We came across this old and rustic cemetery in the town of Jayhawk. Here are some cherubs I found resting near some graves.
Silent Sorrow
Withered by Weeds
Some of the graves have been taken over by weeds. Though it’s sad to see a neglected grave, it can sometimes bring about a dark beauty.

Grave Guardian
This cherub someone had placed on top of this gravestone gave me the feeling it was meant to watch over this grave.
Eternal Cross
Dominion of the Spirits
Love in the Afterlife
These cherubs caught my eye from a distance because they were sitting under a large shade tree with the sunlight beaming down on them through an opening in the branches. It was a magic touch to an afternoon spent photographing the grounds at Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom, CA.
Gravestone of Lowe Agaro
I like how the overgrown weeds compliment some of the graves.
Graveyard Plot
This grouping of eye catching gravestones is right next to the parking lot at the Lakeside Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Folsom, CA.
Baby Sleeps Forever
Weep not, she is not dead but sleepeth.
Dark Crypt
The dark crypt awaits your return. Hurry back for the Sun will soon be rising.
Forgotten in the Weeds
An old forgotten plot with a weathered picket fence. Neglected, it has a certain charisma all its own.
Silent Beauty
It’s been a busy weekend which means no time to go out and take new photos. So instead, it’s time to dig into my archive of stuff I’ve never posted. Back in October, I remember walking up to this old abandoned grave and just admiring this rustic silent beauty it called out to me. I love the fact that beauty can be found in almost any place you go. Sometimes you just need to let it find you.
Gated Tombstones
Peeking through a gated plot of tombstones. I couldn’t help notice how common this is in these small town cemeteries.
Mausoleum of Garibaldi
Cemetery photography is something I like to do from time to time. My sister Julie first talked me into it a few years back and now I seek out these final resting places armed with my camera. I recently stopped at four cemeteries all in the same day! Two in Sutter Creek and two in Jackson, California. I also want to take a moment and thank my wonderful wife who likes to come along and help me discover these places of beauty!
Crypt of Langford
Between work and home life it's been a challenge to go out and take new photos. So until then, I'll have to dig into my archives for photos I've never posted. Here’s one from a cemetery shoot in 2013 in Altadena, CA.
